We also have providers and staff that are experts in employing ABA procedures and have many years of related field experience as well as the required education & licenses needed to serve. All of our providers and staff have a true love for the work that we do for people with Autism and disabilities! We work hard for those we serve!!
All of Helping Hands Special educators and Behavior therapists receive comprehensive training in behavioral theory, reinforcement, the application of Discrete Trial Training, Verbal Behavior, the nuances of prompting and fading, behavior management techniques, generalization, maintenance of acquired skills, peer play and social development. In addition, continuous refresher training courses and research on new techniques are provided to our therapists so they are able to maintain the highest quality of service provision.
We are the specialty ABA agency!
Although our consultation follows a well-planned course, each procedure is tailored to the needs of each student. Our goal is to help students succeed by planning for generalization between settings and following IEP mandates.
We are committed to providing quality services that will enable each student to grow and flourish to their fullest potential.
Our Foundation
Applied Behavior-Analytic methods are proven effective in teaching individuals a variety of skills including (but certainly not limited to)behavior management. As we commonly explain to those we work with, Applied Behavior-Analytic methods are scientifically based teaching tools that can help improve difficult behavior, and be used to teach academics skills, language, social skills, daily living skills, and much more. We explain that Applied Behavior Analysis is not based on one method alone. Our clinical staff members are all trained in Discrete Trial Teaching, Verbal Behavior, incidental teaching, pivotal response training and fluency training to name a few. We use an eclectic approach when working with students. We are trained in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments, writing and implementing successful Behavior Intervention Plans that are based on proactive interventions. We always provide detailed data reports to track progress. We provide the tools to all individuals we serve so that they can maximize their independence and potential. We provide full support, materials, and plans to school teams and families, as well as guidance and training along the way. Implementing a behavior plan is a process that takes time, consistency, and a full team effort. We want to assist all members of a team to work together for the sake of the students we all serve.
